Don’t know yet… What is Roller Derby?
Roller Derby is a full contact sport played by women with quad skates. Created in the 30’s, it consists of a race (that takes place in an oval track) in which two teams with 5 players each (1 pivot, 3 blockers and 1 jammer) fight for every point with contact (bumps and hits).
Organized in “leagues” that depend on their players, volunteers and partnerships to survive and spread the word, roller derby has more than 900 leagues recognized by the WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association) around the world.
